ECHO'S PHILA HOUSE

ALSO SEE THE NASIK PRINTING ORDER IN THE POSTAGE STAMP CATALOG AS IT HAS SOME INFORMATION ON THE REVENUE STAMPS.

The following letter, dated 14 December 1988, and brochure are from the archives of the Bangladesh Postal Department. It is a solicitation from the Pakistani printing firm The Times Press (private) Ltd. for printing business from the Bangladesh Post Office. Fortunately, the brochure illustrates Bangladesh Revenue stamps listed in the Barefoot catalog as being printed by other printers. The mistake resulted from the fact that three different varieties (and slight design differences) exist for the set, but were not recognized at the time. Evidently different printers were involved in printing them. Now we know who the correct printer was for at least one of the varieties.

The letter also enclosed three pieces of paper stamped “Sample Specimen”.
