The above two images are on photographic paper from the archives of the Postal Administration. The significance of the large and small images of the stamp is not known. There are no perforations but there is a drawn perforation-like image around each stamp. The image of the FDC was created before the cachet, stamp and cancellation were placed on sale. It was a in a sense, an essay of what the three elements would look like on a FDC.
Another photographic image from the archives with two proposals for the cachetand the cancellation. Note that the bottom image has part of the stamp circled. Below is the actual First Day Cover that was approved and issued.

Although this states “FIRST DAY COVER” it is not a First Day Cover. It is a rare privately produced cover for a Boy Scout event during the year of the 100th Anniversary of Scouting. Illustrated are both the front and the reverse of the cover. In the upper illustration, in the left hand bottom, the multiple listing of dates are the attempted delivery dates of the cover.

Withdrawn on September 2nd. August 30th, 31st and Sept. 1st were government holidays.

This corrected stamp and envelope was actually issued September 9th, but the same cancelling device was used with the original date of issue. The stamp is much darker in color than the previous one. Note that the writing on the bottom right is different from that of the original error stamp and envelope. Also, the correct medal is now portrayed on the stamp and envelope.

Additional: A handful of full sheets found their way to the philatelic market. The missing label portrays a government figure and other people. It is difficult understanding what they are doing. There was much confusion regarding this P.O. issued charity sheet of six labels. It was not valid for postage, but some were used as such. The P.O. had to print small flyers picturing the sheet with the removed label and stating that it was not valid for postage, but a means of raising money for flood victims, and that the sheet was issued minus one of the labels. The label in the upper left corner had been removed by the authorities before the sheet was put on sale.

FDC: Yes. Commemorative postmark, but not a valid postage issue and not a valid FDC. General P.O. cancellation. A very well done privately printed envelope that looks like a government issue item but it does not have the P.O. logo on the back flap. Designed by Syeed Bin Salam (Tuhin). The covers have the sheet, minus the one label. Later, others prepared a handful of complete sheets on envelopes and had them sent as registered letters. Both must be considered “philatelic” in nature and are considered invalid by the postal authorities.
Pmks.: Dhaka
Insert: None

This is a similar cover to that illustrated directly below it. The image is not the true colors as this is a copy of a photostat that did not portray the true colors. This is a rare cover, and it is believed only 200 exist. This was the only use of the commemorative cancellation.

This is the cancellation used on the few covers that were prepared. It was not made available to the public.
Above is the flyer that was printed to explain the Charity stamps. It does not directly say they were not to be used for postage, therefore the term “Charity Stamp” must imply that it is not a postage stamp. They were not valid for postage, even though there are instances where people used them and they were sent through the mails. Even more confusing is the fact that a cancellation was approved for a FDC (?) of the labels. The size is about 8 1/2 x 5 3/4ins. (21 1/2 x 14 1/2cms.). This explanation was found on the internet and copied.
This is a very well done privately produced envelope for this sheet of labels. The labels were not valid for postage and no official FDC was created for it. The sheets were made by the Post Office to sell to raise money for the victims of flooding in Bangladesh. This cover is cancelled with a regular P.O. cancellation on 15 September, the day after the issue of the labels. This cachet was designed by Syeed Bin Salam (Tuhin).
Another philatelic covers using the complete sheet on the cover. The labels were not considered postage stamps but often were used as such. This cover is cancelled in 2008.

Additional: The cachet for the FDCs was found to have an error in it and was later corrected. See below for comparison of the two cachets. The error was corrected, and covers from Dhaka with both cachets can be found. The stamps alternate in the sheet and if one has a block of four of the two stamps the same stamp will not be above the same image.
