Genrally missing from the set of four stamps for the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Centenary is the 25p value. This value is the most expensive of the group. The reason most collectors do not have this value was that Mr. Mondal, the Indian dealer who faked many covers during the War of Liberation, came to Bangladesh and purchased as many of the imperforate stamps as he could. He then sold the three values and withheld the one value. Later he offered the one value at a very high price and collectors could not complete the set. In terms of the number of stamps of this value, it is probably equal to the others, but the price has made it impossible for most collector to purchase it. This set was issued on October 9, 1974. Always collect imperf. stamps in margin singles, or in pairs to make certain they are not single stamps cut from the souvenir sheet.
