5 October 2010 – “New Zealand Tour of Bangladesh 2010, 1st One Day International, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka, 5 October 2010.” The cancellation gives the year as 2015, not 2010. This generic FDC cancellation is always available at the Post Office and people could cancel their covers. The problem is that one can set the date as well. This can lead to covers being created for events that took place days to weeks before. It is unfortunate that a FDC cancellation was used on many of the cricket covers as they are not First Day Covers, but privately produced event covers.
